June Happenings

Our summer has been jammed packed so far! It seems like we have been all over the place but we have enjoyed most of the summer and are looking forward to more adventures!

June was a busy one. Unfortunately it started out with my Grandpa Robinson's funeral. However we are all happy he is now with my grandma and it's always a nice time to contemplate his life and all of the fun memories we shared with grandpa and grandma. I was able to accompany my brother while he sang a beautiful song at the funeral and Nate was chasing two naughty babies in the hall and playing with them in the parking lot during the funeral.
All the cousins were there except for one who was still serving his mission.
In the middle of June we celebrated Kay Kay's 1st birthday! Oh my goodness what a year it has been. I am glad to say we are in this stage of life. But it is hard to see your baby turn into a toddler. She decided to walk a few weeks before her birthday and now the house is full of two crazies!! We had family over and gave her a milk and cookies party.
She was very spoiled and loved all of her fun presents. (Emmett did too.)
This girl loves necklaces and has to always have one on. By the time she was able to smash into her little cake she didn't feel very well and pretty much screamed and I wasn't able to get any pictures of that because my camera broke. Maybe that was for the best.
Towards the end of June we went to the Owens annual camping family reunion up by Soda Springs. The babies were very excited to try out their new camp chairs and I was excited to camp in a trailer this year with a toilet and with two babies.
We have a lot of cute pictures of this fun camping trip but I don't have access to any of them yet. The babies got nice and dirty!

The rest of June was spent having lots of fun in the sun and water and fighting over treasured toys at grandma's house.

4 Babies and Camping

We had the best weekend with our best buds camping our hearts away! Maybe we were a bit crazy to take on a last minute camping trip with four babies in tow but it was awesome.

Now that we have a camp trailer, it makes camping a little easier with kids...except that pretty much everything doesn't work in our trailer (another story for another day).  We were indebted to Dad Griggs for letting us borrow his generator so we could sleep with heat.

The babes loved watching dad hook up the truck to the trailer. They might have gotten a little anxious to get on their way but we finally made it.
Aren't these four babies the cutest? They all love each other so much. And thank goodness for Pack N' Plays. They are lifesavers for crawling babies.
Sis was trapped a lot but she still had a good time.
These two are the best of buds!! They were constantly hugging each other. And of course there was a lot of throwing rocks and playing in the dirt along with the hugs.
We gave up cleaning the little guy. He had a great time anyway.
Daddy and Kamryn enjoying each other's company.
 Our dear wonderful friends!!!
And this is a typical picture of our life. Nate laughing his head off as Kamryn spills his drink all over herself and of course I'm getting mad about it.
Among the good food, the fun chats, and the sleepless night (I almost got the saw out to cut down a tree that was scraping the side of our trailer), we were able to come across some horses on our 10 meter walk and the guys were so nice and let the kids pet them and get on top of them. Mel and Emmett were the only ones to venture on a horse. Emmett may have called it a cow and said, "moo", We will have to work on that.
What a fun camp-out! Can't wait to do it again Mel and Kel and little buddies!!

Ready for Summer

These nice days are the best! We have been having so much fun outside and every one is so much happier about life too.

Kamryn and Emmett's favorite thing is to crawl inside the dog house. (It might as well get some use since the dog doesn't use it).
Emmett can't go anywhere without his Daddy. He was so mad watching Nate mow the lawn without him so he had to ride on his shoulders. A good workout for Nate. I love how he holds on to Nate's ears as he rides along.
We finally broke out the tandem bike. It's only been 2 years since we've had it. We have gone a couple of times and we still need to perfect the situation with the babies riding along in the bike carrier. They don't exactly like their helmets clinking against each other nor do they like to ride so close together. There is a lot of fighting going on in the back, but they do get excited every time we put their helmets on them.
And we don't make it very far on our rides. Around the block is all we can do right now but hopefully by the end of the summer we can actually make it for a good solid 30 minutes.
The pool and slide are the new favorite toys for the yard. Emmett is a fish in the water and loves it. Sis doesn't get too close and will lose it if her toe touches water. Hopefully she will warm up.
But come on now...isn't she adorable in her little swimming suit?!
This dude could spend all of his time playing in the water. He wanted me to get the hose out at 9:00am one morning but I decided maybe he could just paint with water instead. A good alternative. It was still a little cold outside.
Bring on the summer days!

Easter

Celebrating Holidays are becoming more fun now that the babies are getting older. I really wasn't planning on doing much for the babies for Easter because let's face it, they are still so little but my mom convinced me they needed a little something.

They got a little candy (mostly things Nate and I love) and some bubbles and a little dolly. When Emmett saw the bubbles he got pretty excited and we had to immediately go outside and blow them because he kept yelling, "bubbles, bubbles, bubbles!"
A great moment on Easter was watching Emmett take a little nap on Nate. This is very rare these days.
Later on we ventured to Grandma and Grandpa Robinson's and had a little Easter Egg hunt in the backyard.
Emmett loved shaking the eggs and running around the yard.
Sis enjoyed it too. Her face is priceless. I love the double chin.
Afterwards Emmett pulled sis along in a wagon. Then we ate an awesome Easter dinner with Ma and Pa.
Earlier in the week the grandparent's had a fun little surprise sent to our house...a slide!
Emmett was so excited and I could barely get it out of the box for him before he started to slide down it. This is probably my favorite picture right now. He's yelling "go!" I love this moment.
And sis sure enjoyed the box until she discovered that if she pulled her socks off she can scale up the slide like a pro. It was a bit scary when I was changing Emmett's diaper and I looked up and there she was on top of the slide. I'm just waiting for the day until there is a broken bone in this household.
Thanks grandma and grandpa! The Easter slide is so much fun!

Florida!

We just came back from an awesome trip in warm and sunny Florida. It went by way too fast but we were glad to be reunited with the babies once again.

The main reason for the trip was to see the newly constructed Ft. Lauderdale Temple since this was where Nate served his mission. And then we so happened to have a little bit of fun on the side too. We met up with David and Kristen (Nate's old mission companion and very fun wife-do I dare say that was over 13 years ago?...). Every single day was so much fun!

First things first though...David and Nate had to get some yummy Haitian Food in their bellies the moment we touched Florida. I just have to say I was glad they both speak Creole because we got a lot of stares walking into a Haitian Restaurant being white.
Day 2 we hit up the gorgeous Ft. Lauderdale Temple.
 The day was beautiful.
And it was fun to see Nate talk with a non-member for about an hour. She happened to come up to him and said, "Tell me all about your church." He was in seventh heaven.
Later that day we drove to see the Everglades and later on explored Miami.
We rode on an air boat in hopes to see some alligators. It's pretty sad this is about the only picture I have of David and Kristin.
My wish came true and we saw a couple of alligators up close. I loved it. Although it would've been nice if once of them jumped in and swallowed a very annoying passenger we had with us. I was anticipating it but it never happened.
Day 3 we woke up super early and drove to the magical land of Disney World.
What an awesome day! It was jammed packed and we took advantage of every single moment. We even saw Cinderella and she waved to us. It was magical.
The last hour was awesome even though we were all tired. Everyone started to leave and we hopped on ride after ride. Gift shops are dangerous when you have kids. I really wanted to buy everything.
Day 4 we met up with some members Nate and David served with and then ventured to Cocoa Beach. Nate and David tried out body surfing.
We didn't have a whole lot of time to hang out on the beach because we had a late start and were having dinner later with a very sweet family but it was still fun to get some sun and enjoy the weather.
Day 5 included going to church in the ward in Ft. Lauderdale the boys served in. They were so funny to watch and spent awhile after church talking to and reuniting with a lot of members. Kris and I had fun chatting away which was a very fun and common occurrence on this trip. Afterwards we went to a huge swap meet and ate the best caramel filled churro I have ever eaten. Even getting multiple grease stains on my pants was worth it.
I really should have taken more pictures but I guess the excitement distracted me. Thanks so much for the very awesome and memorable trip Dave and Kris!

How We Pass the Time

Where in the world does the time go?! I blink and a week has passed. I don't think I like that very much. But we sure love passing the time with these babies of ours.

Now that the weather is somewhat more decent (depending on the day) we love getting out and going to the park. The other day we decided to put them in the bike carrier and walk around with them. As you can see Kamryn is soaking it all up and loving it while Emmett does not like his space intruded upon.
Then there are other moments where we build forts because it is too cold outside and they both love it! I love how an angle of a picture can really put about 5-8 pounds of extra weight on a baby.
We also like to pass the time reading books in our sunglasses because sometimes it's just too bright inside the house...
...and then there's moments when we just need to practice the piano out of our animal book.
We love watching this little girl grow and explore like crazy (She's 9 months already!)
And sometimes she gets treats stuck on the side of her cute little face.
Some of our favorite things to do to pass the time is just to sit and watch our babies (we laugh quite a bit), Emmett loves feeding himself and pretty much will eat anything these days if he can dip it in ketchup. (I usually have to wash our curtains about once a week).
And Kamryn makes us laugh with her awesome "Medusa" hair. It may be time for a haircut.
What's more fun than watching these two munchkins on the video camera trying to go to sleep?
Good thing I put up a crib railing protector or someone might chew through his crib.
I'm pretty sure she knows we were looking at her. The funny thing was she was holding really still too and just staring at the ceiling.
Good thing we have these wonderful memories while the time passes us by way too quickly!
