Everyday Through the IPhone

It seems like whenever I want to take a picture, the moment passes by too quickly and all I have time for is to grab my phone. So hence the very poor quality of pictures. But I still love them. These babies sure make us laugh and smile everyday.

We are starting to get more and more adventurous as a family of four. It can get quite comical at times. Today I took a picture of Emmett and Kamryn together for the very first time...alone..with no one holding them. It went well until Emmett bopped Kamryn in the head. And he also kept trying to sit on her. She is just the right height.
But then there are moments when Emmett just wants to kiss his little sis.
Emmett is so funny these days. This picture is before I gave him a very needed haircut (I'm pretty sure it's the 8th or 9th time I've given him one since he was born). He also had just gotten into some snacks and I hadn't noticed.
One of his favorite places to play is in the dog bed. It is seriously disgusting because he rolls around and lays in it. You just have to laugh about it though.
And this little girl just turned 3 months. It blows my mind. But we are all very happy to be in this stage of life. Everyone is doing much better. She can be so serious at times, but mostly she is one happy and smiling baby. And she is still so skinny. She has a long way to catch up to her brother!

Birthday Boy!

This little blessing of ours just turned 1! It's so fun to watch him grow but it makes me so so sad at the same time.

This past year has been such a blessing. We can't imagine life without Emmett. He sure brings a lot of joy and sunshine in our lives and we are always eternally grateful for our Angel and her family that allowed us to have this wonderful boy in our lives. What an amazing journey it has been so far!!

Since turning 1 is quite the milestone, I had to throw a little birthday bash for Emmett and invited our family. The theme was "Airplanes" because every time an airplane flies above our house (which happens quite frequently since we live right by the airport), Emmett stops everything and looks around for it. He will smile and giggle when he actually sees one in the air. So it only seemed fitting to throw him an Airplane Party.
The birthday cake of course had to have an airplane on it.
We had an airplane throwing contest (which I forgot to take pictures of) and we also played pin the propeller on the airplane.
An airplane party is not complete without some fun party favors!
Apparently Emmett was the center of attention because I took no pictures of anyone else at the party. Whoops!

He wasn't so sure of being the center of attention, but quickly got over it once he had his own cake to smash.
 Happy Birthday cute little boy!
 The cake smash begins!!!
He was having a good ol' time.
 Yum Yum!
And then he was more interested in the camera.
We sure love you Emmett! But stop growing up so fast okay?!

Little Munchkin

Oh Emmett. How we love you. You are a wild dude these days. Into everything and all over the place.

The other day while I was feeding little Kay Kay, I gave Emmett a few Cheerios to keep him preoccupied. Usually I put a few out and keep a big bag of them next to me zipped closed. Well apparently I forgot to close the bag and he found them and started shaking them all over the place. I just had to laugh because it kept him occupied for a good while and let's just say by the end he had picked up and eaten all of them off the floor.
This is pretty typical of Emmett. Any chance he gets he tries to grab baby sister. Poor girl. He even stepped on her nose the other day. Let's just say it wasn't under my watchful eye. This is my favorite pic because he is sneakily reaching over to grab her.
He has no time for diaper changes these days. I was barely able to wipe his bum before he rolled away from me to go explore. It's still okay to show half naked pictures when they are under 1 right?
Emmett loves the water. He could live in it all day. Last week he got to go with Nate to Lava Hot Springs.
Do you think he spent a little amount of time in the water?

Look-alikes?

My mom was going through my photo album the other day and came across a bunch of my baby pictures. She brought it over and I could not believe what I saw. It was totally Kamryn on those pages! So crazy. We look almost identical as babies (poor girl).

Here is Kamryn at around 8 weeks...
...and here I am around 4 weeks on my blessing day.
Maybe you can't tell from the pictures, but I was shocked when I saw my baby pictures because I thought they looked just like Kamryn.

I had to add some cute smile pictures. This baby of ours has really tested us and our ability to endure and be patient, but she is doing so much better these days and when she smiles you almost forget when she becomes upset.
Her smile lights up her whole body. It's probably one of my favorite things.
I also had to add more pictures that I took on her blessing day on my parent's camera since the battery on mine died. I thought they were too cute not to share.
Little Princess.
Love the bracelet.
Pretty little girl.

Blessing Day

The other big event of the weekend was being able to bless our little Kamryn girl. Nate gave a very sweet blessing and we appreciated the support of our family and friends.

My mom made Kamryn's adorable blessing dress. And cute Nate styled her hair. He always does a good job.
We were able to get three out of four smiles. Not bad eh?
 Our little Kay Kay.
And this was Emmett being Emmett. He could have cared less what was going on. He was just enjoying the attention of aunts and uncles.
I love our little family!!

40 Years

We had quite the fun weekend. One of the big events was celebrating Ma and Pa's 40th Wedding Anniversary. We (the siblings) decided to surprise the Padres with a little celebration. My oldest brother and his family drive down for the weekend. Unfortunately my other brother and his family weren't able to make it but they were there in spirit (and we were able to Skype with them).

We decided to throw a "70's" theme party since they were married in 1973. When the parents showed up, we surprised them in the backyard with decorations, family, and food.

Here was the decor. Thanks a lot in part to my sis-in-law.
You can't really tell, but I was able to etch a couple of glasses with "40" on them.
The food table (minus the delicious food catered by Famous Dave's). In the corner was a blown up pic of my parents from their wedding album. I blew up a few of these pictures after I stole their wedding album from their house.
And the decor downstairs. We played a lot of fun "70's" games and had it all decked out in 70's decorations. It was quite the party! We also had a disco ball thanks to Nate!
 Cute parents.
And the family together. (Minus Jake, Cindy, Blaine, and Ty). Skip even joined in the picture.
Towards the end of the party, Nate brought out the bubble machine.
The kids loved it!
We love you mom and dad and are so grateful you found each other and have been together for 40 years!

Cousin Love

Oh these sweet little boys. I happened upon these pictures from my sis-in-law's camera the other day and had to share them because now these sweet cousins are miles apart.

They sure love each other!
They were playing at grandma and grandpa's in the water. And it is serious business.
I wish I knew what had happened to get the reaction on their faces.
Love this chubby face!
We miss you Benson!
