Newborn Pictures

A few days after baby Emmett was born, I wanted to capture his cute little newborn face and scheduled a newborn session with someone who use to be in my ward. Well I was pretty disappointed in how the pictures turned out and I had to pay an arm and a leg for what we did get (actually we are still waiting to receive them). After finding this out, my sis-in-laws decided to help me out. They have both been over to take pictures for me. The following are one of the sessions. (More to come!)
I think they turned out pretty darn cute. What do you think?

Nate is going to make this little boy like baseball whether he likes it or not!

Our Little Blessing

Life couldn't get any better!
On September 1, 2012 our little piece of heaven was born.

Emmett Eric Esplin
7lbs 6oz
21 inches long

He is so loved! Not only by us but by all of his family. We are so grateful for our sweet angel and her family that made all of this possible for us. They are and will always be in our prayers.
Meeting little Emmett for the first time! It was so surreal and it still feels that way sometimes. I love waking up in the middle of the night and early in the morning and thinking, "We have a baby!" We absolutely love it!
 A precious moment with dad!
Feeding the little guy for the first time. Notice that I made Nate do it. I was so nervous and scared that I would do something wrong!  (Don't worry we are doing better at being first time parents).
Coming home from the hospital the day after he was born.
We can't get enough of this sweet little face!
A little scrunched up in his car seat. He loves riding in the car and falls asleep the instant we put him in his car seat.
Wide awake. He looks so much older than he really is. He was only 3 days old in this picture.
Exactly 2 weeks old! We love his hair and it is growing longer each and every day.  It makes me sad how fast he is growing up. At his 2 week checkup he already gained 8oz and grew 1/2 an inch! And he's starting to get a double chin!

Emmett is such a good baby! He rarely cries and when he does it's usually because he has gas. Poor guy. The first night we brought him home we just starred at him all night long wondering about every little sound he would make. We are getting better and actually sleep a bit better each night. Sometimes he will sleep up to a 4 1/2 hour stretch at night! It's hard to put him down and we pretty much just love holding him every minute of every day! Words can't even express how much love we have for him! We are truly blessed.
