Anniversary Palooza!

This last weekend Nate and I were able to celebrate 5 years of marital bliss. Friday afternoon we dropped Emmett off with grandpa and grandma and headed down to Logan to celebrate in style.

We made a spur of the moment choice and ate at Gaucho Grill (a Brazilian grill). We were a bit disappointed it didn't par up to Rodizio's in SLC but we still had quite the fill.
Then we headed to the Eccles Theatre to watch our favorite Bandito in action. We love the Pickleville Playhouse. They are based in Bear Lake but do showings in Logan during the winter season. They do an awesome job and this was probably our favorite Bandito show to date. We laughed and laughed and laughed.
Then we headed to the Anniversary Inn where Nate made reservations for us.
We stayed in the Mansion Suite.
 It was pretty cute.
We enjoyed a leisurely morning and didn't check out until noon. It was so much fun. (Too bad we couldn't sleep in as much as we wanted to. Emmett has conditioned us well).
That afternoon we hit up some shopping and we didn't forget Hobby Lobby. (My favorite store and I'm pretty sure it's Nate's too even though he won't admit it.) To top off the weekend of festivities we met Mel and Kel and little Bubs for lunch. It only made us miss them more but we had a great time!

We had a fun weekend but were definitely missing our little guy. Thank goodness grandma sent us picture updates regularly. Gotta love the morning hair. I ended up trimming it a couple of minutes after I took this pic. Now his face looks even rounder. I love it!
We had a great Anniversary and I have to say I love my Nate man even more than when we got married. (A little mushy....probably).  We have been through lots and I wouldn't trade the experiences we've had with anyone!!!

The "Bump"

I don't really enjoy taking pics of myself...especially now. (But due to popular request) here's the latest baby bump picture.

At 26 weeks!
Emmett wanted to be part of the action. (This is also after the realization that I hadn't finished doing my hair).
So there you have it. I should have taken another picture today because I'm pretty sure my stomach has grown about 4 inches since these pictures.

In other baby news....I am a complete mess at times. For example tonight at dinner I started to laugh at something which really wasn't even that funny in the first place. Before I knew it I was laughing so hard that I had tears streaming down my face and then I just started to cry. This went on for a good 5 minutes while Nate just stared at me wondering what in the world was going on. Oh dear.

But in better news I can eat a lot more now and it makes life so much more pleasant. However my cravings aren't that healthy. I could eat a big fat juicy steak along with an ice cream cone or shake with every meal and I would be one happy lady.

Selling the House

It's finally time. Nate and I have talked about selling our house for the last couple of years but the market has been horrible. After Emmett came we knew we needed to seriously think about it and then after we found out about our little girl surprise we put it up for sale that weekend!

We have an awesome realtor who helped us buy our house in the first place and we have even had a couple of showings in the last few weeks but no offers. We are hoping to sell so we can move into something larger and on the other side of town before this baby comes. So if anyone knows of someone who could use a cute starter home, this is the place to look! We even dropped our price so anyone would get a killer deal especially with all the work we have put into it over the last 4 1/2 years!

Check out our house here.

Adventures at Our House

Whoa! Where does the time go these days? I am not keeping up but still loving every minute!
This little E man is now trying to sit up. He can sit up on his own for a good 15 seconds and he loves sitting up every minute of the day with our help. Watch out world! He is going to be into everything pretty soon!
I know I am a great photographer with this super white picture but I wanted to capture how incredibly blue and beautiful Emmett's eyes are. He gets lots of compliments and I am pretty sure he will be breaking lots of hearts in the future.
This is what his dad likes to do with his face when I am not around. Good thing Emmett's doesn't care.
Emmett got his 6 month shots the other day and we had a bit of a traumatic night where none of us slept. I left early in the morning to surprise a friend with a birthday breakfast and I came home to the 2 boys sleeping in the bed together. Priceless.
 Some cute cousin love.
One of our favorite things right now at our house is sneaking into Emmett's room while he is taking a nap and finding him in all sorts of funny positions. This is one of the more common ones these days...
And 10 minutes later we found him like this.....
In other news Nate finally got rid of one of his nasty lumps on his arm. Sorry no after pictures. The stitches are still covered up thank goodness. Nate lovingly refers to his mass that was taken out as "Buford."
And  last but not least (no pictures of this) Nate and I both got the stomach flu at exactly the same time. It was very interesting at our house for 24 hours to say the least. Little E man was saved from the sickness and friends and family watched him for a couple of days for us while we recovered. I do have to say it was a pretty comical situation at our house for awhile. We are grateful that is over!
