Grateful

There are many things I am grateful for. Here are just a few:

I am grateful that Nate only grows a mustache once a year in the month of November to help with cancer awareness which is known as "Movember."
It looks a bit dark. That's because on Thanksgiving he and two of his brothers decided to dye their mustaches black. It's been a tough week to look at him but I am still grateful for him.
I am grateful for this cute little chubby blessing and miracle in our lives.
Even though it still looks bad, I am grateful that my hair is growing out. Still needs a bit  more time though.
And of course I'm most grateful for our little family!!

Happenings

Life has totally taken a 180 turn for us and I don't think we mind one bit. We pretty much spend our days and nights watching our little guy grow up right before our eyes. Here's what's been happening the last few weeks.

When I took Emmett for his 2 month appointment, the doctor told me that his bottom gums are pretty swollen and wouldn't be surprised if he had a tooth coming in pretty soon. What? We've seen the workings of a tooth making its way. Emmett likes to chew on everything these days and is mister droolie pants.
He loves his jungle gym and plays under it for quite awhile. When he gets tired he just closes his eyes and goes to sleep right under it.
He also loves to sleep if we are holding him. We cannot get him to take naps on his own in his crib. (It only lasts about 15-20 min). But if we hold him he will nap for much longer. Here he is napping in Nate's arm pit.
We call him "Wolverine" some mornings after his wakes up because his hair is out of control at times.
He loves looking around and exploring everything around him. And if you look closely at this picture you can see Nate's disgusting mustache he is growing for Movember. Um...yuck.
Now what you have all been waiting for. A video of Nate and Emmett doing sit-ups. Nate might have exerted himself a little too much. (Don't worry he gave me permission to post this). Make sure and turn up the volume. I still can't stop laughing.

The Perfect Weekend

We had the most special and memorable weekend of our lives. Writing about it really doesn't do it justice. It was so amazing.

On November 3rd at 11am we got sealed together as a family in the Rexburg Temple. Words cannot describe this wonderful and sacred experience. We feel so complete now!
This little guy was so sweet and happy the whole time and decided to sleep when we took pictures. The moment we walked into the Temple he just smiled at everyone. Then right after the sealing he was so happy and was smiling and cooing at us as we held him in the sealing room. So very special. There is no doubt he definitely knew what was going on.
The day was so perfect in every possible way. It was very special to us to be sealed as a family in the same Temple Nate and I were married in right after it was dedicated.  We are so thankful to our family and friends who spent this wonderful day with us.
Then on Sunday we were able to bless our little sweet spirit. Again he was so happy and so good. I was told later in the day that while Nate was giving Emmett his blessing, Emmett was looking up at Nate the whole time and smiling. (We won't give away the person(s) who had their eyes open during the blessing).
We love our Emmett and are so thankful for our many many blessings.
I wish I could eloquently write about all the wonderful memories and experiences of this weekend but I don't want to take away from the sweet and wonderful spirit we felt.

We are so blessed!

Halloween Cookie Monster

I love the Fall and Halloween. And usually every year I con Nate into celebrating 13 Days of Halloween/Fall fun with me where we do something different each day for 13 days to celebrate the season. Well let's just say this year time totally slipped us by. (I think Nate secretly didn't mind, but I'm kind of sad about it).  Oh well. There's always next year.

I mean, we didn't even dress up for Halloween (a first in I don't even know how long). Technically we had no reason to dress up because we had no plans. Sad. But when I got a homemade hat in the mail from my sis-in-law, I definitely knew I needed to dress little E up.

What do you think?!
"ME WANT COOKIE!!"
(Actually I think he was more interested in his hands than his costume).
This was probably my favorite part of Halloween!
Next year I already have our costumes planned out. Just wait!
