First Camping Adventure of the Season

Camping in April you ask? Why yes. Yes indeed. Nate was a bit anxious to get out in the wilderness in our very own camp trailer. We bought it in the winter for an awesome price from Nate's aunt and uncle. I told Nate too bad we can't use it this year because we are having a baby in June and I am uncomfortable and there is probably no way I am taking a brand new baby camping after the fact. Apparently he didn't like that and convinced me we needed to go on a short camping trip before everything gets even more crazy in our lives. Well I have to say it turned out pretty fun and Mel and Kel met up with us along with Dusty and Caytlyn.

Our camping spot. Not green yet because it's a bit early in the season. We ended up going to Fall Creek up by Swan Valley.
Some of our clan. Mel, Kel, and Nate. The one great thing about our trailer is the awning that kept us cool in the hot sun. Don't even ask about the furnace, the fridge, or the water. Things didn't quite turn out the way we anticipated but we made do and stayed nice and warm. Plus I had a toilet I could use every half hour.
Little E and Little B playing together in separate play pens. I didn't want Emmett to spread any germs in case he had any to spread. And notice he is always wearing a hoodie because I was super concerned about his ears getting wind blown (Even though it was like 70 degrees out).
Two buddies tired after a hard day of playing.
Kel and Nate took the little dudes on a short walk to the creek and they both came back riding on their daddy's shoulders and holding a blade of snake grass. Pretty darn cute.
Another shoulder ride.
And apparently we are an official Braves family now. Totally didn't plan on all of us wearing Braves paraphernalia on the same exact day. It tickled Nate's heart. And I really should have worn a shirt that fit a bit better. That's what you get at 32 weeks along!
Mel let me give Emmett a baby puff snack and he wasn't too sure about it. He kept it at the edge of his mouth for the longest time. It was hilarious because it looks like he had bucked teeth. Let's just hope that's not how his real teeth will grow in.
At the end of the trip Nate wanted to conquer the steep hill across from our camp site. He almost made it to the very top. It was super steep and really hot. Emmett and I watched from a distance and I'm pretty sure we were both glad we didn't take the challenge.
It turned out to be a great camping trip and the perfect weekend to do it. Nate thinks we should go every weekend before the baby is born but I'm not so sure. It wore me out! And I did absolutely nothing when we got there. Thanks Mel and Kel and Dusty and Caytlyn. We had fun!!
