Easter

Celebrating Holidays are becoming more fun now that the babies are getting older. I really wasn't planning on doing much for the babies for Easter because let's face it, they are still so little but my mom convinced me they needed a little something.

They got a little candy (mostly things Nate and I love) and some bubbles and a little dolly. When Emmett saw the bubbles he got pretty excited and we had to immediately go outside and blow them because he kept yelling, "bubbles, bubbles, bubbles!"
A great moment on Easter was watching Emmett take a little nap on Nate. This is very rare these days.
Later on we ventured to Grandma and Grandpa Robinson's and had a little Easter Egg hunt in the backyard.
Emmett loved shaking the eggs and running around the yard.
Sis enjoyed it too. Her face is priceless. I love the double chin.
Afterwards Emmett pulled sis along in a wagon. Then we ate an awesome Easter dinner with Ma and Pa.
Earlier in the week the grandparent's had a fun little surprise sent to our house...a slide!
Emmett was so excited and I could barely get it out of the box for him before he started to slide down it. This is probably my favorite picture right now. He's yelling "go!" I love this moment.
And sis sure enjoyed the box until she discovered that if she pulled her socks off she can scale up the slide like a pro. It was a bit scary when I was changing Emmett's diaper and I looked up and there she was on top of the slide. I'm just waiting for the day until there is a broken bone in this household.
Thanks grandma and grandpa! The Easter slide is so much fun!

Florida!

We just came back from an awesome trip in warm and sunny Florida. It went by way too fast but we were glad to be reunited with the babies once again.

The main reason for the trip was to see the newly constructed Ft. Lauderdale Temple since this was where Nate served his mission. And then we so happened to have a little bit of fun on the side too. We met up with David and Kristen (Nate's old mission companion and very fun wife-do I dare say that was over 13 years ago?...). Every single day was so much fun!

First things first though...David and Nate had to get some yummy Haitian Food in their bellies the moment we touched Florida. I just have to say I was glad they both speak Creole because we got a lot of stares walking into a Haitian Restaurant being white.
Day 2 we hit up the gorgeous Ft. Lauderdale Temple.
 The day was beautiful.
And it was fun to see Nate talk with a non-member for about an hour. She happened to come up to him and said, "Tell me all about your church." He was in seventh heaven.
Later that day we drove to see the Everglades and later on explored Miami.
We rode on an air boat in hopes to see some alligators. It's pretty sad this is about the only picture I have of David and Kristin.
My wish came true and we saw a couple of alligators up close. I loved it. Although it would've been nice if once of them jumped in and swallowed a very annoying passenger we had with us. I was anticipating it but it never happened.
Day 3 we woke up super early and drove to the magical land of Disney World.
What an awesome day! It was jammed packed and we took advantage of every single moment. We even saw Cinderella and she waved to us. It was magical.
The last hour was awesome even though we were all tired. Everyone started to leave and we hopped on ride after ride. Gift shops are dangerous when you have kids. I really wanted to buy everything.
Day 4 we met up with some members Nate and David served with and then ventured to Cocoa Beach. Nate and David tried out body surfing.
We didn't have a whole lot of time to hang out on the beach because we had a late start and were having dinner later with a very sweet family but it was still fun to get some sun and enjoy the weather.
Day 5 included going to church in the ward in Ft. Lauderdale the boys served in. They were so funny to watch and spent awhile after church talking to and reuniting with a lot of members. Kris and I had fun chatting away which was a very fun and common occurrence on this trip. Afterwards we went to a huge swap meet and ate the best caramel filled churro I have ever eaten. Even getting multiple grease stains on my pants was worth it.
I really should have taken more pictures but I guess the excitement distracted me. Thanks so much for the very awesome and memorable trip Dave and Kris!
