Life couldn't get any better!
On September 1, 2012 our little piece of heaven was born.

He is so loved! Not only by us but by all of his family. We are so grateful for our sweet angel and her family that made all of this possible for us. They are and will always be in our prayers.
Meeting little Emmett for the first time! It was so surreal and it still feels that way sometimes. I love waking up in the middle of the night and early in the morning and thinking, "We have a baby!" We absolutely love it!

Exactly 2 weeks old! We love his hair and it is growing longer each and every day. It makes me sad how fast he is growing up. At his 2 week checkup he already gained 8oz and grew 1/2 an inch! And he's starting to get a double chin!
Emmett is such a good baby! He rarely cries and when he does it's usually because he has gas. Poor guy. The first night we brought him home we just starred at him all night long wondering about every little sound he would make. We are getting better and actually sleep a bit better each night. Sometimes he will sleep up to a 4 1/2 hour stretch at night! It's hard to put him down and we pretty much just love holding him every minute of every day! Words can't even express how much love we have for him! We are truly blessed.

I can't even express my excitement for you guys! I feel like a horrible friend for not getting there and seeing your little family yet. Hopefully we can get there very soon, because I've been dying to see this little guy! Congrats to you two, he is so precious!

Oh my gosh are you kidding me?! I didn't even know you guys were trying to adopt! He is SO beautiful! Congratulations - you'll be an amazing mom and he'll grow up to have a wicked sense of humor just like you!! :)
Now you need to update more often so I can see him getting bigger!
Oh he's perfect! I am so, so happy for you and Nate. Keep the pictures coming. I agree he's going be a funny kids, you already know it, with such a silly mom.
Oh friends, I Love you so much! He is changinging so fast! I just wish I could be there to see it first hand but I guess this will do til I get back up there! Brody sends hugs to his best buddy emmett and told me to tell aunt Kayla that he still loves her guts (even after she let him fall on his face ;) )and uncle nater too! So happy-beyond words- you guys are the BEST!

This news makes me so so so happy. I teared up a bit when David told me (after he got Nate's text). Congratulations! I can't wait to meet him. What a handsome little guy!!!
